A football club scored a great saving by cutting water use and its costs, with Water Plus, a multi award-winning water retailer - and our League Sponsors!

We’re highlighting the big water-savings out there for sports clubs and businesses from small extra steps – with our great League Sponsors Water Plus UK, who have won 20 awards since October 2022, for work with organisations around their water.

Steps with water use can be easy – and low-cost – though can deliver for your operation, lowering running costs and reducing impacts on the environment. And savings around water can be spotted at businesses too.

The football club had technology added to boost efficiency at its ground - and it’s expected to deliver a 31% water saving on average daily water use, from the devices installed through Water Plus.

A visit to Stafford Town Football Club’s Evans Park ground found 196,000 litres could be saved during the year - from adding extra, low-cost, water-saving kit. That’s equal to 2,450 bath tubs, each filled with 80 litres of water each – or 784,000 cups of tea, each holding 250ml.

Where less hot water is used at a sports club, or a business, less energy needs to be used, with the tap efficiency fittings helping to do just that.
